Make text/number superscript or subscript: MS Word



Superscript: It refers to text, number, figure or symbol slightly higher than the text on line.
Example:  
  1. Scientific/Mathematical formula:  
                 (A+B)2 = A2 + B2+ 2AB  
  1. Symbols like copyright, trademark etc.

How to do superscript:
On the Home tab, in the Font group, Click Superscript. Or press CTRL+SHIFT+=.

Subscript: It refers to text or number slightly lower than the text on line.
Example: Chemical formula
  H2O, H2SO4


How to do subscript:
On the Home tab, in the Font group, Click Subscript. Or press CTRL+=.
