It happens to all of us, when you finish writing an email and without realizing that you have made a typo error or forgot to add some recipients, you hit the send button. Later you realize you did the mistake and can’t do anything. You have to send email again to missing recipients and for typo error.
Now for Gmail users having option known as the “Undo Send” feature. It lets you un-send an email for a short period after sending.
After a beta period for last six years, Google has finally introduced Gmail’s “Undo Send” option for its account holder. Google has first introduced the “Undo Send” feature to Gmail in March 2009 but the feature was available in experimental labs.
The Gmail Labs feature, started on June 5, 2008, allows users to test new or experimental features of Gmail.
But there is a catch, you can only ‘undo send’ an email from 5 to 30 seconds of hitting the send button, depends upon your settings. It allows you to do setting from 5 to 30 seconds.
It delays sending the email based on your settings, so that if you change your mind, you can do option ‘Undo’.
How to 'enable undo send' option
1. Click on “Settings”.
2. In the General tab mid of page you can find
“Undo Send” section.
3. Tick the box besides ‘Enable Undo send’.
5. Now go to end of page and click ‘Save Changes’ for saving the settings.
If not click cancel.
4. Select the send ‘cancellation period’.
You have option to choose between 5, 10, 20 and 30-second windows.

If not click cancel.
Now you have option to undo an email you are sending for the time frame you have in settings.
Note: 'Undo Send' option is not currently available on mobile app.
